penny: a bit of an 'un-portrait' this week for you my little lady. oh, these silly little unicorn shoes. you've wanted no other shoes on your feet this week except for these. they're getting scuffed, beat up, and muddy, but you still love them. i can't blame you one bit, they look like slippers, and the way you shuffle around the house in them i'd swear you were a little old man looking for your sunday paper. for your sake (and let's be honest, mine too!) i hope they hold up for many more weeks to come!

tomorrow evan, penny, and i are hopping on a plane to head to NY. then the following day we'll be off to Italy for 10 days. things will probably be fairly quiet around here seeing as i'm not quite sure what our internet situation will be over there. i hope to be able to check in here or on instagram, but if not i shall return with fabulous pictures to share.
